Set in a serene traditional Japanese hall, the Reading Marathon welcomed book lovers of all ages. The event encouraged participants to spend an entire day reading, away from screens and distractions.

The marathon included quiet reading zones, a tea corner, and mini-break sessions filled with mindfulness activities. Organizers also set up a book-exchange table where readers could swap their finished books for new discoveries.

By evening, a closing circle allowed participants to share their favorite passages, insights, and the emotional experiences they gained from uninterrupted reading. Kyoto once again proved why it’s a sanctuary for mindful literary events.
